Born in Barcelona and Madrid, with 125 years of combined experience as manufacturers, Cruma and Ortoalresa (Cr+oa= Croa) have become worldwide suppliers of air filtration and centrifugation laboratory equipment.

Mini, Micro and Small
For those labs whith low throughput
This section covers smaller-sized equipment that processes tubes ranging from 0.2 ml to 15 ml. They feature angled rotors with speeds ranging from 8,000 RPM to 18,100 RPM. These devices actively participate in the separation processes conducted in the initial phases of most procedures, both at the analytical and research levels. Those classified as Mini and Micro in their configuration include an integrated rotor, while the Small ones have multiple rotors to provide greater versatility to the equipment. Despite their simplicity, they are equipped with the same safety and control devices as more sophisticated centrifuges, offering users confidence in the process.
Ductless Fume Hoods Class 1 & 2
Cruma ductless filtration fume hoods Plug & Play and Classic ranges are ideal for eliminating contaminating gas and/or solid particles/aerosols from the workspace in an efficient and cost-effective way protecting the lab operator. Plug & Play range comes already assembled (just unpack it, install the filters and plug it in) and all the models are equipped with the new filtration system, developed and patented by Cruma (Invention Patent). On the other hand, Classic range is delivered unassembled, it can be easily placed in any laboratory with difficult access, saving transport costs thanks to the reduced sizes of the packaging. All the models in the Classic range use the same filtration system as P&P range, which ensures that the contaminating gas, fumes and particles generated inside the fume hoods are retained in the filters, thus constantly renewing the air inside the laboratory.
Universals
One centrifuge multiple uses
Segment represented by centrifuges capable of processing tubes ranging from 0.2 ml to 125 ml. The equipment included in this section can reach speeds of up to 18,100 RPM / 31,865 xg. Their versatility is provided by the option to use both angled and swing-out rotors within the same equipment, allowing for multiple configurations with a single device. This series also features quick-exchange rotor (REI system)® and a wide range of adapters. It is available with connectivity that allows the user to access data about completed cycles, centrifuge status, and technical parameters for proper maintenance.
Vertical & Horizontal Laminar Flow Cabinets
Class ISO 4 vertical and horizontal Laminar Flow Cabinets are ideal for jobs where it is necessary to ensure the products are protected from external and cross-contamination.
The air collected from the environment is prefiltered and pushed by the fan engine to the retention plenum, it then passes through the main H14 absolute Hepa filter and is released into the working area. The air emerges from the H14 HEPA filter, moving in a compact and laminar way, creating a Class ISO 4 sterile workspace and making sure no contaminating particles are close to the product being handled.
High capacity
High throughput, best performances
This category includes equipment with a maximum capacity ranging from 400 ml to 1,000 ml. Within this series, you’ll find equipment with ventilation, refrigeration, and heating capabilities to provide solutions for a wide variety of processes. They are characterized by having a big size touchscreen, which enhances usability and creates an optimized connection environment with the equipment. This allows for greater process traceability, reduced processing times, and ensures reproducibility. Each piece of equipment in this series comes with a wide variety of rotors and multiple adapters, making them essential tools in the sample separation phases, both at the beginning and intermediate stages, in routine and research laboratories.
Ultra-Precision Weighing Cabinets
Ultra-precision weighing with total protection for the worker and the environment during the handling of extremely toxic substances. Cruma guarantees a precise and safe work environment when dealing with highly- active substances thanks to its filtering system. Sensitive microbalances require a protected and vibration-free environment against air currents. The Bag-ln & Bag-Out system ensures total safety and protection during the filter change operation, avoiding any possible accident or contamination of the technical personnel. Floor standing – Rolling tables
High throughput, best performances
Maximum capacity in the floor-standing format. An excellent option for laboratories with limited space, offering the same versatility as equipment with higher technical capabilities. Available in ventilated and refrigerated versions, with a capacity of up to 3 liters (4 x 750 ml). As an alternative for laboratories already equipped with benchtop centrifuges, we offer rolling tables that allow the transformation into a floor-standing unit. We have two versions: a tall one to place the centrifuge at the height of laboratory tables for easy manipulation, and a low one that allows hiding the equipment under benchtop.
Biosafety Cabinets Class II A2, Cyto and Class III
Cruma BIO+ biosafety cabinets for microbiological safety and environmental protection are certified by Tüv Nord pursuant to Standard EN 12469:2000. Our CLASS II TYPE A2 biosafety cabinets are equipped with UV light as standard, and are developed to protect the personnel and the environment when material from risk groups 1, 2 and 3 is being handled. At the same time they ensure the protection of the sample from external contamination. Cruma Cyto cabinets have been especially designed for the preparation of cytotoxic drugs. Their operating scheme includes an additional third filtration stage under the work surface for more safety.
What’s more, this patented Bag-In & Bag-Out system ensures that the contaminated areas remain completely airtight when the HEPA filters are replaced, therefore protecting the technical personnel. Cruma Virus-3 cabinet Class III provides the highest level of containment allowing to manipulate up to risk group 4 pathogen in a safe way according to the World Health Organization.
